My Name is Maria Baptista. I am 19 years
old. I was born, raised, and currently live
in Sacramento, CA. I attended St. Francis High School, where I played on the golf
team for four years.
I then attended Sacramento City College, where I played on the Women’s golf team
and was a member of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society. I have recently graduated
from Sacramento City College with my Associate’s degree and will be attending Sacramento State this fall to pursue my Bachelor’s degree. I plan to major in Criminal Justice and minor in Business.
With the help of the Cape Verdean West Association providing me with this scholarship, I will be able to continue on towards fulfilling my goal of obtaining my Bachelor’s degree.
